Jim Pearce is an A.T. Kearney partner in the Oil & Gas Industry Practice for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). He is based in the London office and has more than 10 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry in a wide range of roles.

Jim's consulting expertise is primarily in post-merger integration and CAPEX management. He has worked in project management and operational roles in the Middle East and Latin America.

Jim's representative engagements include:

Organizational implications for new CAPEX project delivery organization with more than 600 engineers for a major oil and gas company
Post-merger integration in mining services across 35 countries to deliver synergies, new organization, new information technology, and protect combined revenue
Multiple due diligence and market entry projects for potential investors, across industries: oil and gas, packaging, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals–including upstream maintenance and construction targets
Major shipyard turnaround, including building organisational capabilities in project management, bidding, and commercial areas
Contractual strategy for major oil and gas company after major merger, which allowed them to source major CAPEX projects more efficiently, resulting in $300 million annual savings

Before joining A.T. Kearney, Jim was the engineer in charge for Schlumberger Anadrill in Maracaibo, Venezuela, where he drilled oil wells throughout the world for clients such as Shell, Petrobras, and Aramco. He also worked as an exploration geologist for Obenemase Gold Mines Ltd. in Kumasi, Ghana.

Jim earned an MBA from INSEAD, where he was awarded an Arts Alliance Scholarship for his e-CRM business plan. He also received a BS, with honors, in geological sciences from St. Aidan's College, University of Durham.
